Blood & Innocence
Blood & Innocence is a short film I created in collaboration with Joey Schultz, with additional cinematography by Leo Schnepf and Jordan Hoffman. Featuring text I also wrote, the film explores the raw and often overwhelming journey of relearning how to love in the aftermath of sudden, profound loss.
Some of the footage dates back to the day I learned of my father’s unexpected passing in 2020, captured in my Brooklyn apartment. The most recent scenes were filmed in Abiquiú, New Mexico—where I continued to be with the nonlinear nature of grief.
This is a personal story—one that I feel both compelled and terrified to share. It lays bare my questions about love, loss, and the haunting presence of absence.
This film premiered at Indigo Dance Film Festival at Stomping Ground LA on May 10th, 2025.
