THE MOUNTAIN IN ME (2015)

Profound divinity lingers in my existence
like an impatient lover
waiting to be stripped and created again.

The Mountain In Me was Khala Brannigan’s first evening-length piece that premiered in San Francisco at SAFEhouse Arts December 2015. In collaboration with spoken word artist Katya Bitar and five dancers, The Mountain In Me researched the depth of human bravery, overcoming the fear of near-death experiences, and surrendering to the wild feminine heart. In many ways, The Mountain In Me serves as the genetic makeup of Brannigan Dance Works.
